http://publicationethics.org/files/Code_of_conduct_for_journal_editors.pdf.
Intrecci d’arte is a peer-reviewed journal. It follows a double-blind review procedure in selecting and publishing articles. All the parts involved in the publishing process – Editorial Team, Scientific Committee, Author and Reviewers – are aware of the ethical standards required and expressly agree with them.
Duties for the Editorial Team
Editorial team takes all reasonable steps to ensure the quality of the texts published.
Editorial team acts according to the existing legal provisions on libel, copyright violation and plagiarism, and has a duty to act as provided by Intellectual property legislation if they suspect misconduct or any other abuse on the part of authors.
Editorial team, assisted by highly qualified peer reviewers, decides whether to accept or reject a paper for publication based on subject relevance and originality.
Editorial team and the Scientific committee will ensure that appropriate peer reviewers are selected for submissions, and that peer reviewing is anonymous, fair, unbiased and timely.
A description of the peer review process is published at Intrecci d’arte.
Editorial team evaluates submitted texts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Editorial team adopts a double-blind peer-review protocol, which ensures that texts submitted to the journal remain confidential while under review. Confidentiality of individual information obtained in the course of research or professional interaction is guaranteed for the whole review process.
Editorial team adopts all procedures to ensure that published articles are open-access and freely available. Permanent identification in DOI and NBN guarantees the monitoring and preservation of articles over time.
Duties for Authors
Authors are personally responsible for the content of the articles they submit: they must assure the originality of their works, being aware of the consequences of misconduct.
Authors should always acknowledge their sources and cite them accurately and exhaustively. Authors are asked to follow the guidelines published at Intrecci d’arte and to ensure that the research reporting in their articles is accurate, complete, clear, and in keeping with the technical and editorial standards of the Journal.
Duties for reviewers
Articles are submitted to two Reviewers, whose motivated, detailed opinion is communicated to the Author in written form.
Refereeing for submissions is rigorously anonymous. Reviewers are encouraged to comment on the originality and scientific relevance of submissions and are informed by the Editorial team about the need to handle submitted material in confidence.
Reviewers are required to disclose any potential competing interests they should detect before agreeing to review a submission and during the reviewing process.
Reviewers are invited to alert the Editorial team about potential violations of the Intellectual property law and other violations.
The editorial policies and the code of conduct of the Journal will be reviewed periodically, particularly with respect to the guidelines of COPE.
