FluxusAbstract
On September 1st, 1962 in Wiesbaden, Germany opened the FLUXUS INTERNATIONALE FESTSPIELE NEUESTER MUSIK. An event that will mark the history of the movement, its protagonists and that after fifty years has been recognized as the official date of birth. In 2012, in fact, in Germany, in Europe and throughout the world (Italy included) a lot af events and exhibitions took place, as a tribute to the movement with different approaches: from the philological one, to the thematic view, to celebratory monographs of anthological mold. The Italian picture is part of a wider European and world view which led us to reflect on Fluxus ‘musealization’, a term that, as evidenced by numerous statements of poetics, contradicts the attitude of constant dynamism repeatedly emphasized by the individual authors. The undeniable legacy that Fluxus has left to the next generation is much more interesting for the unchanged value that can be attributed to the experimental attitude of the artistic practice.Downloads
