Intrecci d’Arte is an online journal of the Department of the Arts (DAR) of the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.
The journal makes use of multiple interdisciplinary skills aimed at the knowledge, protection and enhancement of cultural heritage.
It intends to offer scholars a space for discussion and study on the themes of the history of art in the medieval and modern ages (5th–18th centuries), in the light of the most up-to-date methodologies.

Quality assurance rules have been established through a management structure and an international scientific committee, a double blind peer review system and a code of ethics according to the COPE guidelines.

The journal is recognized by ANVUR (Italian National Agency for Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes) for disciplinary areas 10 (Sciences of antiquity, philological-literary and historical-artistic). It has also obtained the “Class A” rating for recruitment field 10/B1 (Art history).
